populi Sarmatiae, qui Taurum montem habitant penes Achilleum cursum. Eorum bellicum Olbiopolitis meminit Iul. Capitolin. in Pio, c. 9. Olbiopolitis contra Tauroscythas in Pontum auxilia misit: et Tauroscythas usque ad dandos Olbiopolitis obsides vicit. Ubi Casaubonus, Olbiopolitae, inquit, Graeci erant, aut certe Graecis mixti; Tauroscythae barbari, vel Scythae, vel Gotthi, sive Getae: a quibus etiam Borysthenem civitatem fuisse habitatam, auctor est Dio Chrysostamus, qui omnia illa loca lustraverat.
